Jared Taylor

Founder of American Renaissance (1990) and the New Century Foundation; the most polished long-running American white-nationalist intellectual; central node in the Hard Right ecosystem alongside Richard Spencer and the alt-right networks of the 2010s

Taylor predates and outlasts the alt-right moment. American Renaissance has hosted “race-realist” conferences since the 1990s and maintained the appearance of academic respectability while advancing explicit white-identitarian politics. Taylor functions as a generational bridge between older paleoconservative racialism (e.g. Sam Francis, who wrote for him) and the post-2010 online far right.

The mainstream New Right is officially separated from Taylor’s project, but the boundary is porous: Hard Right figures who circulate among NatCon-adjacent venues often have American Renaissance in their intellectual genealogy.
