American Greatness
Online political magazine and website that grew directly out of the anonymous Journal of American Greatness blog (2016); funded in part by Peter Thiel; publishes Trumpist and New Right commentary, analysis, and polemics; part of the Hard Right media ecosystem alongside IM-1776, American Mind, Revolver News, and TheBlaze
American Greatness (AmGreatness.com) is the institutionalized successor to the Journal of American Greatness, the anonymous 2016 blog that first developed a sophisticated intellectual defense of Trumpism. Where JAG was a temporary intellectual experiment, American Greatness became a permanent outlet for pro-Trump commentary and New Right analysis.
Christopher Flannery, one of the original Claremont Institute founders, wrote in American Greatness (August 2022): “John Eastman Is an American Hero: He Put His Life on the Line to Stop an Unconstitutional Election” — an example of how the publication functions as a venue for Claremont-adjacent positions that are too extreme for the Claremont Review of Books.
