Great Replacement Theory

The conspiracist claim that white populations in Western countries are being deliberately demographically displaced by non-white immigrants, often at the alleged direction of elites; the bridge concept linking mainstream New Right immigration politics to Hard Right white nationalism

Originated in French nativist Renaud Camus’s Le Grand Remplacement (2011) and circulated through European far-right and American white-nationalist networks before crossing into mainstream conservative discourse. The “softer” demographic-anxiety version — that immigration is changing electoral coalitions and cultural identity — has been mainstreamed by Tucker Carlson (especially in The End of Men and his Fox News monologues) and is implicit in much New Right rhetoric on the border.

The theory is a primary load-bearing wall between the New Right proper and the Hard Right (Spencer, BAP, neoreactionaries), where it appears in its explicit white-nationalist form. Mainstream New Right figures generally avoid the phrase but recycle the underlying demographic anxiety.
